At this work party we will be:
- given a short lesson how to do summer pruning and young tree canopy management
- listening to a brief overview of purchasing fruit trees and some info on our local nurseries
- watering, weeding and other general maintenance
- improving our asparagus, strawberry and rhubarb beds.
Work parties are from 10am – 4pm.
We request that members attend any 4 of the 6 hours.
(Examples: 10am-2pm or 12pm-4pm).
What to Bring:
-potluck dish
-bowl and cutlery
-water bottle to keep yourself hydrated
-tools you are able to share (On August 12th, we are needing hand weeding tools)
(Please note: There will be no on-site washroom for this workparty. The nearest public washroom is at Trout Lake Park, a 10 –15 minute walk from Copley).
